Mayuki Makiguchi is a Japanese voice actress and actress affiliated with the agency 81 Produce. She was born on December 9, 1984, in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

Makiguchi began her career in the voice acting industry in 2005. In July 2007, she officially joined 81 Produce. For several years following her debut, she gained experience by voicing numerous minor and supporting characters in a wide variety of anime television series. These early roles included appearances in shows such as Death Note, Gintama, Soul Eater, Major, and Naruto Shippuden.

The pivotal moment in her career came in 2013 when she was cast as Serena in the anime series Pokémon the Series: XY. This role marked the first time she was entrusted with a main character for a long-running series. Her performance as Serena, the primary female companion in the Pokémon anime, brought her widespread recognition and became her most iconic role. She continued to voice the character in subsequent series, including Pokémon the Series: XYZ, and made a guest appearance in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. Makiguchi also reprised the role of Serena for several Pokémon theatrical releases, including the films Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, and Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel.

Beyond her defining work in the Pokémon franchise, Makiguchi has built a diverse portfolio of voice roles. She voiced Marin Ogura in the anime adaptation of 12-Sai: Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki and its second season. She is also known for her roles as Takuma in Battle Spirits Burning Soul and as Mizuki Okumura in the Puzzle & Dragons anime. Other notable credits include Star Karin in Go! Princess Precure and various characters in the long-running Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise.

Throughout her career, Makiguchi has collaborated with various fellow voice actors on numerous projects. Notably, she has worked alongside established peers such as三木眞一郎 (Shinichiro Miki) and三宅健太 (Kenta Miyake) in the Pokémon series. Her work has also extended beyond anime television into video games, OVAs, and dubbed versions of foreign programs like Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness.
