Stéphane Pouplard is a French actor and voice actor born in 1971 in Angers, France. Standing 1.78 meters tall with a bass-baritone vocal pitch, he has been an active presence in the French dubbing industry since the early 2000s. His professional training includes a 2003 workshop on synchronization at the Institut National de l'Audiovisuel (INA) titled Le Comédien et la Syncro, as well as subsequent training in the Meisner technique and on-camera workshops.

In the field of anime and animated series, Pouplard has contributed several notable French voice performances. He is recognized for providing the French voice of Sakyo in the live-action adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho, which was released on Netflix in December 2023. In the animated film Pokémon 4Ever, he performed as the Narrator, a role he also undertook for the seventh film, Pokémon: La destinée de Deoxys. His other credits in animation include voicing Yukimaru in Samurai Champloo, Kauffman in the series Monster, and roles in Tom-Tom et Nana as well as Shrek the Third.

Beyond his work in animation, Pouplard has an extensive career as a French dubbing voice for numerous international actors and television characters. His recurring voice credits include Jim Halpert on The Office, Jack Ryan on Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Jamie Dutton on Yellowstone, Steve Murphy on Narcos, and Chief Jim Hopper on Stranger Things. He is also known as the regular French voice for actors such as John Krasinski, David Harbour, Boyd Holbrook, and Kellan Lutz. His dubbing portfolio spans a wide range of popular series, including roles in Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey, and The Vampire Diaries. In addition to his acting work, Pouplard has also worked as a narrator for documentaries on Arte and France TV and previously performed voice-over work for major French television channels, including TF1 and M6.
