François L'Ecuyer

François L'Ecuyer is a French-Canadian voice actor born on May 10, 1965. He is a graduate of the Montreal Conservatory of Dramatic Art, having completed his studies there in 1989. He has built a career primarily as a specialist in dubbing, lending his voice to the Canadian French versions of numerous international productions.

In the realm of live-action dubbing, L'Ecuyer is particularly known as the regular Canadian French voice for several prominent Hollywood actors, including Jackie Chan, Forest Whitaker, Don Cheadle, Anthony Anderson, and Eddie Murphy. He has also voiced characters in major animated film franchises, such as Mason in the Madagascar series, Donkey in the Shrek series, and Murray in the Hotel Transylvania series.

Within the Transformers film series, L'Ecuyer provided the Canadian French voice for the character Agent Seymour Simmons across multiple installments, including the 2007 Transformers film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and Transformers: The Last Knight. He also contributed to Transformers: Age of Extinction as one of the radio voices for the character Bumblebee.

In anime, L'Ecuyer is recognized for his role in the historical supernatural series Le Chevalier D'Eon, which was produced by Production I.G and aired in 2006. In the Canadian French dub of this series, he voiced the character of Saint-Germain, a poet who works for the Duc de Orléans. His performance is part of the Quebecois voice cast for the show, which also includes Nicholas Savard L'Herbier as D'Eon de Beaumont and Violette Chauveau as Lia de Beaumont.
