Merk Nguyen is an American voice actor born on August 1, 1995, in Lynnwood, Washington. Before pursuing voice acting, she studied journalism and media production at Washington State University and built a career in public radio and podcasting, including work as a co-host for the program Adult ISH. Her entry into voice acting was influenced by a longstanding creative dream that she chose to actively pursue following a period of personal reflection.

Nguyen is best known for her role as Mio Kofune in the English dub of the anime series Summer Time Rendering, a mystery thriller that aired in 2022. Her performance as the younger sister of a deceased girl navigating a supernatural conspiracy was her first major anime dub role. The same year, she began booking additional voice work with major animation studios.

Her other significant voice credits include the role of Jasmine Tran, a Vietnamese-American girl, in the animated series The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish. She also appeared in the animated feature film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, providing voices for Student Number 6 and Student Number 9. Additional credits include a role in the Netflix series Chastity High and narration work for Monster High webisodes.

In the English dub production of Summer Time Rendering, Nguyen worked alongside a cast that included Stephen Fu as the protagonist Shinpei Ajiro and Emi Lo as Ushio Kofune. Her career has seen her contribute to projects for major studios, such as DreamWorks Animation, Paramount, and Nickelodeon. She has expressed a deep personal connection to representing Vietnamese-American characters in animation, inspired in part by her own family background.
