Julia Gruber is a German actress and voice artist known for her work in dubbing anime series and films. Her career encompasses both on-camera roles and extensive work as a dubbing and voice-over artist.

Gruber was born on December 7, 1988 in Oberviechtach, Germany. She pursued formal training in acting from 2011 to 2015 at the Athanor Akademie für Darstellende Kunst. Her voice training includes studies at the Christian Rode Sprecherschule in Berlin. In addition to her performance work, she has training as a radio editor and moderator. She gained recognition for her on-screen role as Amelie Limbach on the popular ARD telenovela Sturm der Liebe from July 2020 to February 2021.

As a voice actor, Gruber began taking on dubbing roles around 2017, working on numerous English-language films and television series for the German market. Her early film dubbing credits include Scarecrows, Adrenochrome, and The Drownsman.

Within the anime genre, Gruber is best known for her first major lead role in a German anime dub. In 2023, she took on the part of Towa Higurashi in the German version of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, the sequel series to the classic anime Inuyasha. This marked a significant milestone in her dubbing career.

Beyond Yashahime, her other prominent anime roles include lending her voice to the character Olivier in Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon, Ryouko Asuka in Beelzebub, Kiyone Kotetsu in Bleach, Wakaba in Pokémon Horizons: The Series, and the role of Wonder Woman in the German dub of Young Justice. Her work spans both film and series, showcasing her range across different genres and character types.
