Her career began in the mid-1990s, with her first voice role coming in the series Nilus the Sandman. She gained experience in animation through shows such as Sabrina: The Animated Series and Madeline before moving into Japanese anime dubbing. Among her earliest anime roles were parts in series like Inuyasha, Earth Maiden Arjuna, and The SoulTaker in the early 2000s.

Irvin is perhaps best recognized by anime fans for her multiple roles in the long-running series World Trigger. In this franchise, she provides the voice for Akane Hiura, a cheerful and skilled Sniper who is a member of Nasu Squad. Additionally, she voices Madoka Ui, who serves as an operator, as well as another character named Hikari Nire within the same series. Beyond World Trigger, her anime credits include the role of Haji in the popular series Gintama, and she has also performed in productions like X-Men: Evolution, where she voiced the character X-23.
