Aimyon

Description
Aimyon is a Japanese singer-songwriter who has also performed voice acting work in anime film. While she is primarily known for her successful music career, which began in the mid-2010s, she has taken on select voice roles in major animated productions.

Her most prominent voice acting role is Himi in the 2023 Studio Ghibli film The Boy and the Heron, directed by Hayao Miyazaki. In the original Japanese-language version of the film, Aimyon provides the voice for Himi, a key character. This role marked a significant expansion of her artistic portfolio, bringing her work to an international audience.

In addition to her work with Studio Ghibli, Aimyon also voiced a character in the 2019 anime film Crayon Shin-chan: Honeymoon Hurricane - The Lost Hiroshi, where she played a version of herself. She has contributed to other anime projects as a musical artist. For example, she performed the theme song for the 2023 anime film Totto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window. She also wrote and performed the theme song and an insert song for the 2025 Doraemon film Doraemon: Nobita's Art World Tales, a franchise for which she has expressed a longtime fandom.

Her voice acting credits remain limited compared to her extensive discography as a musician. As such, there are no established patterns of recurring collaborations with specific animation studios or voice directors in the capacity of a voice actor. Notable achievements in this area include her casting in a Studio Ghibli film, one of the most prestigious honors in Japanese animation.
