Charles Martinet is an American actor best known for originating the voice of the iconic video game character Mario for Nintendo, a role he performed from the early 1990s until his retirement from that position in 2023. His extensive career in video games also includes voicing Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi, as well as characters in other major franchises such as Paarthurnax in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
