Kaoru Marimura is a Japanese voice actress, narrator, and former stage performer born on February 20 in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency amuleto. Before entering the voice acting industry, Marimura pursued a distinguished career in musical theater. She graduated from the Takarazuka Music School as part of the 89th class and joined the Takarazuka Revue in 2003. During her time with the renowned all-female troupe, she was assigned to the Star Troupe (Hoshigumi) and performed as an otokoyaku, an actor specializing in male roles. She remained with the company until her retirement from the stage in December 2008. Following her departure from the Takarazuka Revue, Marimura transitioned to a focus on voice acting and narration. Her early anime work includes a minor role as a beautiful woman in the second season of Hakken Densen: Tokyo Eight Dog Chronicles in 2013 and as a nurse in a 2016 episode of the long-running series Detective Conan. Her broader profile includes providing voices for several other animated series. She voiced Aoki Miyabi in Kindaichi Case Files R and appeared in the horror anime shorts Yami Shibai. In 2021, she took on the role of Artemisia in the original adventure anime series Fena: Pirate Princess. Beyond animation, her voice acting work also encompasses dubbing for foreign media, including the role of Katana/Tatsu Yamashiro in DC Super Hero Girls and Ben in F Is for Family. In the field of narrative work and commercials, she has provided narration for the program Chef no Soba de and commercials for brands such as Sunlife and McDonald's. Marimura has also maintained her connection to live performance through stage adaptations of popular anime and games. Her stage credits include the role of Shijima Sae in the Persona 5 stage play, playing NK Cell in the dramatization of Cells at Work!, and portraying Shimizu Watase in multiple productions based on the K anime series, including the 2014 show K and subsequent sequels. In the 2024 anime feature film Rabbits Kingdom the Movie, part of the Tsukiuta franchise, she voices the character Kalavinka, the Queen of the Bird Tribe. Her professional interests include illustration, visiting cafes, and collecting makeup tools.
