Samantha Ireland is an American voice actress born on July 28, 1987 in Austin, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance. Her career in voice acting began with open auditions for Rooster Teeth Productions around 2010, where she first landed the role of C.T. on the long-running series Red vs. Blue. Following this initial collaboration, she was given the opportunity to audition for the character Nora Valkyrie, a role that would become her most recognized work.
Ireland is best known for her extensive work with Rooster Teeth Productions, providing the voice of Nora Valkyrie across nearly the entire run of the animated series RWBY. Her portrayal of the energetic and hammer-wielding character began with the series first volume in 2013 and continued through RWBY volumes 2 through 8, concluding her run on the main series with volume eight in 2021. She reprised the role for the spin-off series RWBY Chibi in 2016 and for the anime adaptation RWBY: Ice Queendom in 2022, performing the English dub voice for the character originally voiced by Aya Suzaki in Japanese. She also voiced Nora Valkyrie in the crossover film Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One. Beyond her signature RWBY role, Ireland has voiced characters in other Rooster Teeth productions including Erin in the animated comedy series Camp Camp (2016) and Amy in the live-action series Day 5 (2016).
In addition to her voice work for animation and web series, Ireland has performed in live-action film and television. She appeared as a mother in the 2024 disaster film Twisters and played Mrs. Conway in the 2018 horror-comedy Blood Fest.
