Neath Oum is a Cambodian-American voice actor known primarily for his work within the RWBY franchise. He was born on August 25, 1980, in Providence, Rhode Island. Oum is the brother of Monty Oum, the creator of the animated series RWBY. Monty Oum originally provided the voice for the character Lie Ren until his passing in 2015. Following his brother's death, Rooster Teeth approached Neath Oum to carry on his brother's legacy by taking over the role of Lie Ren.

Oum accepted the opportunity and began voicing Lie Ren beginning with Volume 3 of the series. He has since reprised this role across multiple installments of the franchise. His portrayal of Lie Ren extends to the comedy spin-off series RWBY Chibi, the mobile game RWBY: Amity Arena, the video game RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, and the anime adaptation RWBY: Ice Queendom, where the original English cast returned to voice their characters. His performance as Lie Ren in Ice Queendom sees him working alongside the main cast including Lindsay Jones as Ruby Rose, Kara Eberle as Weiss Schnee, Arryn Zech as Blake Belladonna, and Barbara Dunkelman as Yang Xiao Long. Oum's career is defined by his singular focus on the RWBY series and his role in continuing the work of his late brother within that universe.
