Masato Tanaka is a Japanese voice actor born on May 3, 1991, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. He is a graduate of the Fukuoka School of Music & Dance College and completed further training at the AIR AGENCY Voice Actor Training School. Tanaka began his professional career in 2013 and was initially affiliated with the agency AIR AGENCY before transitioning to freelance work in August 2017.

Tanaka made his anime debut in 2013 with supporting roles in the series Aikatsu! and Pupipo!. In 2015, he voiced the character Celery in the flash television anime series BAR Kiraware Yasai, also known as BAR Hated Vegetables, a role that brought him wider recognition. The series adapts a four-panel manga and centers on anthropomorphized vegetables who gather at a bar to discuss their worries.

Beyond this role, Tanaka has built a career performing in a variety of anime, video games, and dubbed international productions. His other anime credits include appearances in Gundam Build Fighters Try, Macross Delta, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, Concrete Revolutio, and Gate. In the video game field, he provided voices for titles such as Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact, Haikyuu!!, and Macross Delta Scramble, where he portrayed the character Viktor Halmstad. Tanaka has also worked extensively in dubbing for international media, including voicing Jacen Syndulla in the Disney+ live-action series Ahsoka. He remains an active freelance voice actor in the Japanese entertainment industry.
