Takuji Kawakubo is a Japanese actor and voice actor born on December 17, 1981, in Ota, Tokyo, Japan. He is represented by the talent agency Stardust Promotion, and he graduated from Rikkyo University. While his career has largely focused on live-action roles in television dramas and films, he has also taken on several notable voice acting parts in anime.

Kawakubo began his entertainment career after being scouted while still in high school, making his debut in a commercial. His acting career officially began in 2003 with a stage production, and he gained significant recognition for his lead role as Kazuki Komon in the 2004 tokusatsu series Ultraman Nexus. Although primarily known for live-action tokusatsu and drama, his voice acting credits include several significant anime series.

In the realm of anime, Kawakubo is known for the role of Masafumi Takeuchi in the romance series Bokura ga Ita (also known as We Were There), which aired in 2006. In this series, his character is a kind-hearted and athletic high school student who serves as a close friend to the male protagonist and a gentle love rival for the female lead. The same year, he voiced the character Nakamura in the anime film Saikano: The Last Love Song on This Little Planet, a dystopian romance story based on the popular manga and anime series.

His other on-screen roles, which sometimes cross over into voice work for related media, include portraying Shingo Ota in the 2003 television series Kamen Rider 555, and a role in the 2004 live-action film Devilman, both of which are franchises known for their animated adaptations.
