Atsushi Maruyama is a Japanese actor known primarily for his work in television dramas, stage productions, and tokusatsu series. His career began in 2007, and he is affiliated with the talent agency Burning Publishers Co., Ltd.

Maruyama made his acting debut in 2007 with a role in the television drama Fuuma no Kojirou, where he played the character Shien. He reprised this role the following year in a stage musical adaptation of the same title.

His most prominent and recognizable role came in 2013 when he joined the cast of the Super Sentai series Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. In this show, he portrayed Utsusemimaru, also known as KyoryuGold. This character is a quiet and honorable swordsman from the Sengoku period who becomes a member of the main hero team. Maruyama voiced the character in the suit and also appeared on-screen as the character's human form.

This role led to several notable achievements and recurring appearances in the Super Sentai franchise. He reprised the voice and live-action role of KyoryuGold in multiple theatrical films, including Kamen Rider x Super Sentai x Space Sheriff: Super Hero Taisen Z (2013), Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music (2013), and Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger VS Go-Busters (2014). He also appeared in later crossover films such as Ressha Sentai ToQger VS Kyoryuger (2015), Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Ultra Super Hero Taisen (2017), and even returned for the special Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger vs. Kyoryuger in 2024, demonstrating the lasting impact of his performance.

In addition to his screen work, Maruyama has an extensive background in stage acting. Beyond the Fuuma no Kojirou musical, his stage credits include productions such as Saiyuuki Gekiden -Go to the West- (2009) and its sequel, as well as SAMURAI 7 (2010).

His career has also included roles in other television dramas and films outside of the tokusatsu genre, such as appearances in the television film series Unfair the special and the movie Sakura, Sakura (2010).
