Harumi Ueda is a Japanese voice actress and actress born on January 14, 1978, in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. She is affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, also known as Haikyo. Standing 163 centimeters tall, she speaks the Kyoto dialect and has demonstrated skills in percussion. Ueda holds a regular driver's license and a certification in the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry's abacus proficiency test level 2. Her hobbies include Western clothing and tea ceremony.
Ueda began her career in 2002 after graduating from the Haikyo Acting Research Institute. Her debut anime role was a guest character in the long-running series Ojarumaru. In 2020, she voiced the role of Miyoko Saeki in the series Eternity: Shinya no Nurekoi Channel. Other notable television anime roles include the part of Hibiki's mother in two seasons of Symphogear, specifically Symphogear G and Symphogear GX. She also played Danbashi no Haha, named Shizu, in Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha, a kindergarten teacher in an episode of Detective Conan, and a supporting character named Tsubaki Watanabe in Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes. Her work in 2015 included a role as an elderly woman in One-Punch Man. More recently, in 2022, she voiced the character Junta's mother in the web anime series Romantic Killer. Her film work includes a role in the theatrical film for the KiraKira Pretty Cure a la Mode series, KiraKira Pretty Cure a la Mode: Paritto! Omoide no Mille-Feuille!.
Beyond animation, Ueda has contributed to other forms of media. She participated in the Japanese dub for the Netflix animated series Blue Eye Samurai in 2023.
