Jinpachi Nezu was a Japanese actor born on December 1, 1947. He began his on-screen career in 1974 and appeared in numerous films and television productions over several decades. While primarily known for his work in live-action cinema, he also contributed voice performances to several notable animated features. He passed away on December 29, 2016, at the age of 69.

In the world of animation and voice acting, Nezu is recognized for a select but memorable group of roles. One of his earliest voice roles was in the avant-garde 1985 animated film Angel's Egg, where he provided the voice for the character known only as the Man. That same year, he appeared in the live-action historical epic Ran, directed by Akira Kurosawa, in the role of Jiro.

Nezu's voice work extended into the 1990s with a significant role in the acclaimed mecha film Patlabor 2: The Movie. In this 1993 production, he voiced Yukihito Tsuge, a former Japan Self-Defense Force officer and the instigator of the film's coup d'état plot. This role remains one of his most recognized contributions to anime.

In the 2000s, Nezu continued to lend his voice to various projects. He played the role of Negoro Gensai in the 2001 series Red Shadow Akakage. Two years later, in 2003, he voiced the character Matsuo in the post-apocalyptic survival thriller Dragon Head. That same year, he also took on the role of Mitsuru Hanada in the series Dohyō no Oni-tachi.
