Timo Weisschnur

Timo Weisschnur is a German actor and voice actor. He was born in Hamburg in 1989. Weisschnur studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig from 2010 to 2014. Following his studies, he was a permanent ensemble member at the Deutsches Theater Berlin from 2014 to 2020.

In the field of animation and anime voice acting, Weisschnur is known for his role as Eye Patch in the German dubbing of the Japanese animated film Poupelle of Chimney Town, which was released in 2020. He is also the German dubbing voice of actor Simu Liu, providing his voice for the character Shang-Chi in the Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and for the role of Ken in the film Barbie. His other notable dubbing work includes roles in series such as Andor, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Beyond voice acting, Weisschnur has an extensive career as a narrator for audiobooks and radio dramas. He is the voice of Commissioner Jonathan Brooks in the Radio-Tatort series produced by Radio Bremen. He has narrated numerous audiobooks for publishers including Argon Verlag, Der Audio Verlag, and Hörbuch Hamburg, with titles such as Empusion by Olga Tokarczuk and 22 Bahnen by Caroline Wahl.

Weisschnur has also appeared in various German television productions, with credits including Ku'damm 63, In aller Freundschaft, SOKO Leipzig, and SOKO Wismar. His stage work has earned him recognition, including being part of the production Terror, which was named Aufführung des Jahres (Production of the Year) in 2017, and receiving the Friedrich-Luft-Preis for the play Tod eines Handlungsreisenden in 2018.
