Ryōta Akazawa

Ryota Akazawa is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor born on April 22, 1983, in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency OgiPro The Next and stands 172 cm tall.
Akazawa began his voice acting career in the early 2010s. One of his earliest anime roles was Fumiaki Kutsuki in the 2011 series Moshidora, where he portrayed a fast athlete serving as a pinch runner for the Hodokubo High School baseball team. That same year, he appeared in Natsume's Book of Friends Season 4 as the character Fuzukigami Servant. In 2012, he voiced Akira Ogata in the animated film Library War: The Wings of Revolution, a sequel to the Library War television series.
Throughout the 2010s, Akazawa built a diverse portfolio of supporting roles. In 2014, he voiced Gauri in Akame ga Kill! and Wac Ericson in Terra Formars. He appeared as Kanatake in the 2015 series Venus Project: Climax and as Ooshima in Princess Principal in 2017. In 2019, he joined the cast of The Quintessential Quintuplets as Oda, a role he later reprised for the 2022 film adaptation, and also voiced a homeroom teacher in Star Twinkle Pretty Cure.
More recently, Akazawa appeared as Utashiro in Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle - Rhyme Anima in 2020, as an office assistant in Am I Actually the Strongest? in 2023, and as Eigh Laria in both seasons of Let This Grieving Soul Retire in 2024 and 2025. He voiced Takeshi in Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii in 2024 and a shopkeeper in The Witch and the Beast the same year.
Akazawa has worked with director Takayuki Hamana on multiple projects, including Moshidora and Library War: The Wings of Revolution, both produced by the studio Production I.G.
