He is also known by his real name, Naoto Sasaki, and is a member of the comedic duo Shimofuri Myojo, where he performs as the tsukkomi, or straight man. While comedy is his primary field, he has taken on several notable roles as a voice actor in anime and hybrid series.

In the realm of voice acting, Soshina is best known for his role as Guretama in the 2022 Netflix series Gudetama An Eggcellent Adventure. This series, which blends live-action and CG animation, features the Sanrio character Gudetama the lazy egg and follows his reluctant journey with a newly hatched chick. Soshina voiced the character Guretama, with his comedy partner Seiya also voicing a character named Tamago Sushi in the same production. The series received a nomination for the Kids Live-Action category at the International Emmy Awards in 2023.

Beyond this prominent role, Soshina has contributed his voice to other major anime projects. He voiced the character Hanagasa in the 2022 feature film One Piece Film Red. His other voice acting credits include roles in the 2023 film Kyrie之歌 and an appearance in the television series路上的路花 in 2024. He has also been associated with the long-running series Pokémon Journeys The Series, Keroro Gunsou, and Blue Orchestra.

Prior to his voice acting work, Soshina had a deep interest in anime, which influenced his career. He has cited the character Shiranui Akeno Myojo from the anime Seto no Hanayome My Bride Is A Mermaid as an inspiration for the name of his comedy duo, Shimofuri Myojo.

In addition to his anime voice roles, his acting credits include appearances in live-action television dramas such as SUITS無照律師 and 絕對零度. He has also performed as a musician, creating music under his own label, soshina, using VOCALOID voice synthesis software. His comedic work as part of Shimofuri Myojo has been widely recognized, as the duo won the prestigious M-1 Grand Prix in 2018, and Soshina himself won the R-1 Grand Prix in 2019.
