Masao Komaya, also credited as Masao Koyama, is a Japanese voice actor and stage performer born on January 23, 1967, in Tokyo. Before entering the entertainment industry, he worked as a company employee before deciding to pursue acting after participating in a professional audition organized by Office PAC. He began his voice acting career in the 2000s and has since become known for his distinctive husky vocal tone, which lends itself well to a variety of character roles.

His filmography includes a wide range of roles in Japanese animation, video games, and international film dubbing. In anime, he has appeared in series such as Yakitate!! Japan, Kekkaishi as the character Hishui, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Stitch!, Garo, and the long-running family series Sazae-san. He also voiced the Eternity Devil in Chainsaw Man and appeared in the web anime DEVILMAN crybaby. As a dubbing artist, Komaya specializes in providing Japanese voices for international characters, including the role of Laserbeak in the Japanese dub of the film Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Scorponok in the Japanese dub of the series Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Additional dubbing credits include The Lion King, Mission: Impossible, Madagascar 3 as the Circus Master, and the film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He has also appeared in live-action television, including a role in Voice Actor Detective.

Beyond animated works, Komaya has voiced characters in numerous popular video games such as Drakengard 2, Rogue Galaxy, Super Robot Wars Z, Rainbow Six Siege as Jäger, and Fallout 4 as DiMA. On stage, his performance credits include classic productions like Witness for the Prosecution, The Mousetrap, and Firebird. Following the dissolution of his longtime agency Office PAC in March 2025, he established a new agency called PACage, where he serves as the representative. His known skills and interests include playing musical instruments, cooking, and abacus calculation.
