Ema Fujisawa
Description
Ema Fujisawa is a Japanese model and actress whose work has occasionally intersected with the world of anime voice acting, though she is not primarily known as a voice actor (seiyū). Born on December 26, 1982, in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, Fujisawa began her career in entertainment after being selected from nearly eight thousand applicants to become an exclusive model for the fashion magazine non-no in 2001. She later graduated from the economics department at Sophia University in Tokyo.
Fujisawa is recognized for the role of Risa Koizumi, but it is important to clarify that this role was in the 2006 live-action film adaptation of Lovely Complex, not the anime television series. In the film, she played the lead role of the tall and good-natured high school girl Risa Koizumi opposite Teppei Koike as Atsushi Otani. The anime series Lovely Complex, which aired in 2007, featured Akemi Okamura as the voice of Risa Koizumi, not Ema Fujisawa.
Regarding her limited animation voice credits, Fujisawa has been reported to have provided voice work for special episodes of the long-running anime series Crayon Shin-chan. Beyond this, her career has centered on live-action television dramas and films. She made her acting debut in the lead role of the NHK morning drama Tenka in 2004 and has since appeared in numerous Japanese television series and movies, with a career spanning over two decades.
