Takanori Jinnai
Description
Takanori Jinnai is a Japanese actor, singer, and film director born on August 12, 1958, in Okawa, Fukuoka, Japan. He is primarily known for his extensive live-action career, with voice acting being a smaller facet of his work. Before his on-screen career, he was the vocalist for the punk rock band The Rockers.
While Jinnai is primarily a live-action actor, he has ventured into voice acting for anime and animated films. A significant milestone came in 2010 when he took on his first voice acting role for the 13th animated Pokemon film, "Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl—Phantom Ruler Zoroark". In this film, he provided the voice for a character.
Contrary to the user's example, Jinnai did not voice Kogoro Mori in the "Detective Conan" anime series. Instead, he portrayed the character in live-action television specials based on the series, including "Detective Conan: Shinichi Kudo's Written Challenge" in 2006 and its sequels. Similarly, his role as Motoaki Takenouchi is from the live-action film "Red Shadow: Akakage" rather than an anime series.
Another notable voice role for Jinnai is in the realm of Japanese superhero live-action series. He voiced the character Prime Minister Orma, who transforms into the villain Kamen Rider Sorcerer, in the 2013 film "Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land". This performance is one of his recognized works within the voice acting field.
Information on recurring collaborations with specific animation studios, directors, or other voice actors is not available. His achievements outside of voice acting are notable; he has been nominated for the Japan Academy Prize for Best Actor on two occasions, once in 1988 for "Chochin" and again in 1989 for "Yakuza Tosei no Sutekina Menmen". He also won the award for Best Actor at the 12th Hochi Film Awards.
