Alison Sealy-Smith is a Barbadian-born Canadian actress recognized for her extensive work in voice acting, particularly within the animated superhero genre. She began her professional theatre career in 1981 and has since built a diverse portfolio across stage, film, and television. In the realm of animation, Sealy-Smith is best known as the voice of Ororo Munroe, also known as Storm, a role she first assumed in the 1990s animated series X-Men: The Animated Series, which aired from 1992 to 1997. She reprised this iconic role decades later in the 2024 revival X-Men 97 and also provided the voice for the character in the anthology series What If? in the same year. Her performance as Storm is one of her most enduring and widely recognized voice roles.

Beyond her Marvel work, Sealy-Smith has contributed to other animated series. She voiced the character Scarlett on the Teletoon series Delilah and Julius. Her voice acting credits also include roles in Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, Monster by Mistake, and the animated television film Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids. Within the anime genre specifically, she provided voice work for the English-language version of Sailor Moon, playing the characters Amphibia and the Gemini Warrior. Her other notable voice work includes the role of Devorah in the series Friends and Heroes.

Sealy-Smith has also appeared in numerous live-action film and television productions. She played the role of Supervisor in the supernatural horror film Dark Water. Her television credits include a three-season run on the series Street Legal, a recurring role as Judge Vaughn on This Is Wonderland, and appearances on Due South, Blue Murder, Kevin Hill, and Naturally, Sadie. In recognition of her stage work, she has received multiple Dora Award nominations for acting and has won the award twice. She has also been honored with a Harry Jerome Award and a George Luscombe Award for Mentorship. Sealy-Smith is a founding member of the Obsidian Theatre Company in Toronto, where she also served as Artistic Director from 2000 to 2006.
