Asumi Miwa is a Japanese actress whose career has included work in live-action film, television, and voice acting for anime and video games. She was born on March 12, 1982, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

Miwa began her entertainment career in the mid-1990s. She made her acting debut in 1996 through a commercial for the Urban Renaissance Agency and gained significant attention with her leading role in the 1998 film Love & Pop, directed by Hideaki Anno. For her performance in this film, she received the Best New Talent award at the 20th Yokohama Film Festival in 1999.

Her work in voice and motion capture performance includes the 2002 video game Resident Evil Zero, where she provided motion capture for the character Rebecca Chambers. In 2004, she worked on the fully computer-animated film Appleseed, performing motion capture for the protagonist Deunan. Her voice acting roles in anime series include the character Mūko in Ping Pong (2002), Shiho Ishikawa in Uzumaki (2000), and Naoko Kamikishiro in Boogiepop and Others (2000). It is important to note that the 2000 productions of Uzumaki and Boogiepop and Others are live-action films, not animated series. Miwa is the younger sister of actress Hitomi Miwa.
