His extensive work made him a renowned figure in Brazilian popular culture, particularly for voicing characters in animation and live-action series and films.

Born on June 2, 1928, in Teresina, Piauí, Pozzoli became known for his distinctive voice and passed away on July 26, 2014, in Rio de Janeiro. In the context of anime, one of his notable roles was providing the Brazilian Portuguese voice for Comissário Tsukikage in the series Space Warrior Baldios.

Beyond his anime work, Pozzoli built an extensive legacy as a voice actor for many iconic characters. He became widely known to a generation of Brazilian viewers as the primary Portuguese voice of Luigi in various animated series based on the Super Mario Bros. franchise, including The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. His voice work for Disney and Pixar was particularly significant, including the Sheriff in Cars and Cars 2, Charles Muntz in Up, Kamaji in Spirited Away, Don Karnage in TaleSpin, and Rabbit in several Winnie the Pooh productions from 2004 until his passing. He also voiced Pastor Galswells in Corpse Bride. In live-action dubbing, his roles included providing the Brazilian Portuguese voice for the character John Keller, the United States Secretary of Defense, in the Transformers live-action film.
