Mai Hōshō

Description
Mai Hōshō is a Japanese actress known primarily for her work in live-action film and television, rather than as a dedicated anime voice actor. Her career in the entertainment industry began in the early 1990s and included a variety of roles across different genres before her retirement in 2010.

Hōshō gained recognition for her performances in several notable Japanese horror and tokusatsu films. In the 2000 horror film Tomie: Replay, the second installment in the series based on Junji Ito's manga, she played the titular role of Tomie Kawakami, a mysterious and immortal femme fatale. Her filmography also includes a role in Sion Sono's 2001 cult horror film Suicide Club, where she portrayed Nurse Atsuko Sawada. On the same year, she appeared in the fantasy film Onmyoji.

Beyond horror, Hōshō played the role of Kaoru in the 1995 tokusatsu film Mechanical Violator Hakaider, a dark spin-off of the Android Kikaider series. This live-action role placed her in a science fiction narrative opposite the anti-hero android Hakaider.

While her work includes these prominent genre films, no reliable information could be found to document a career as an anime voice actor. Information regarding any recurring creative collaborations or formal accolades for voice performance is therefore not available.
