Description
ROLLY is a Japanese entertainer whose professional activities include voice acting, along with careers as a rock musician, actor, and music producer. Born on September 6, 1963, in Osaka Prefecture, he began his career in the entertainment industry in 1990 as the vocalist and guitarist for the rock band Scanch, where he performed under the name Rolly Teranishi. After the band disbanded in 1996, he shifted to a solo career and adopted the stage name ROLLY.

His film acting credits include the role of Muneo Suzuki, also known as Genesis, in the 2001 film Suicide Club. In the field of voice acting for animation, he is known for providing the Japanese dub voice for the character Tamatoa in the Disney animated film Moana. His other voice work includes the role of Josey in the Japanese version of a project, as well as a role in the video game Lollipop Chainsaw.

ROLLY has also taken on work as a musical performer and actor in stage productions, notably serving as music director, translator, and a cast member for Japanese productions of The Rocky Horror Show. He describes himself with a unique persona, often referring to his character as that of an eccentric rock star.
