Jonathan David Cook is an American voice actor born on August 19, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois. He has worked under the aliases Jonathan Cook and Jeff Sherwood. In the documentary film Otaku Unite!, which explores the history of Japanese animation fandom in the United States, he appears as himself, representing an aspiring voice actor and active fan within the community. His voice acting credits include the role of Anchor in the 1996 anime release Armitage III: Poly-Matrix. He also provided additional voices for the animated film Recess: Taking the Fifth Grade in 2003 and voiced Wasp Number 6 in the 2006 animated feature The Ant Bully. On television, he performed the voice of the title character, Big Guy, in the series Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot. Within the voice acting community, it is noted that there are two individuals named Jonathan Cook; the one documented here is the voice actor associated with anime productions, particularly through Animaze dubs, and is distinct from a different individual who uses the nickname Jonny Otaku.
