Ted Rusoff

Description
Ted Rusoff was a Canadian voiceover artist, actor, and translator whose professional focus was the dubbing of international films into English. While his career was prolific and spanned hundreds of productions, his specific work in the field of anime remains minimally documented. He is recognized for his role in the English-language version of the 1967 Japanese television series Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot (known in its original Japanese release as Giant Robo). In that series, Rusoff provided the English voice for the character Jerry Mano, a secret agent who is a companion to the young hero Johnny Sokko.

Outside of this singular, well-known anime credit, information about Rusoff performing in other Japanese animated works is not available. His extensive career was primarily dedicated to adapting and performing English dialogue for Italian genre cinema, including horror, thriller, and action films, a field in which he was highly active and respected. Beyond his role as a voice actor, he was also a dubbing director, sync-adapter, and translator, and was known for his fluency in multiple languages. Rusoff began his career as a singer and relocated to Europe in the 1960s, where he worked for decades until his death in 2013.
