Ryoji Morimoto

Ryoji Morimoto is a Japanese actor born on July 11, 1982, in Moriguchi, Osaka Prefecture. He is affiliated with the agency Artist Box and later with Fireworks and MAMORU HEROES. Morimoto stands approximately 172 to 173 cm tall and has blood type A. He began his entertainment career after winning a special jury award at the 14th Junon Superboy Contest.
Morimoto made his acting debut in 2002 with a role in the television drama Gokusen, where he played the character Ryoji Horibe. He reprised this role in the Gokusen Special and the 2009 film Gokusen: The Movie.
He is best known for his work in the Kamen Rider franchise, specifically Kamen Rider Blade, which aired in 2004. In this series, he played the dual role of Hajime Aikawa and the voice of his transformed identity, Kamen Rider Chalice. He also portrayed the character Ryo Mikami in the same series. Morimoto continued his involvement with the character in the 2004 film Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace, again taking on the roles of Hajime Aikawa and the voice of Kamen Rider Chalice. He later reprised the voice role of Kamen Rider Chalice in the 2015 film Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3. He returned to the live-action role of Hajime Aikawa in episodes twenty-nine and thirty of Kamen Rider Zi-O in 2019. Morimoto also performed one of the theme songs for Kamen Rider Blade titled Take It A Try.
Beyond Kamen Rider, Morimoto's other film credits include Waters in 2006, Kamen Rider Den-O & Kiva: Climax Deka in 2008 where he played Kazuma Suzuki, and the film Rakugo musume. His extensive television work includes roles in dramas such as Season of the Sun, Sky High, Attack No. 1, Toritsu Mizusho!, and the long-running series Aibō. He has also appeared in stage productions, including the musical The Prince of Tennis as Takashi Kawamura, as well as stage adaptations of Yowamushi Pedal and Requiem of the Shinsengumi.
