Berno von Cramm is a German actor and voice actor born on November 28, 1934, in Göttingen, Germany. He trained at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 1956 to 1959, a prestigious acting academy, and began his stage career in 1959 at the Nordmark Theater in Schleswig. Over the years, he has performed on numerous renowned German-language stages, including the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin, and the Staatstheater Stuttgart.

While von Cramm has an extensive career in film, television, and theater, his work as a voice actor for anime series has reached a wide international audience. He is known for providing the German dubbing voice for several prominent characters in the genre. In the classic post-apocalyptic series Fist of the North Star, he voiced the character Ryuken. Ryuken is the 63rd successor of the deadly martial art Hokuto Shinken and the adoptive father of the series' protagonist, Kenshiro. In the modern re-adaptation Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, von Cramm provided the voice for the main antagonist Wiseman, also known as Death Phantom, a manipulative entity that serves as the true leader of the Black Moon Clan.
