Alex Gold

Description
Alex Gold is an American former child actor known for his work in both live-action and voice-over roles. He was born on May 4, 1994, in Los Angeles, California, and began his acting career at a very young age, starting with small television roles in the late 1990s and early 2000s. While he is widely recognized for his work in mainstream animated films, his voice acting credits also include roles in Japanese anime productions dubbed for English audiences.

One of his notable anime voice roles is Rekuta in the English dub of the series Duel Masters, which aired on Cartoon Network starting in 2004. In this series, he voiced Rekuta Kadoko, one of the main character Shobu's close friends, who is known for his extensive knowledge of the game's rules despite being a poor duelist. His performance was part of the first season of the English adaptation.

His career includes a much broader range of voice work outside of anime. He is most famous for providing the voice of the titular character Nemo in the Pixar animated film Finding Nemo (2003), a role that earned him a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Voice-Over Role. He continued voice acting in major animated productions, including the role of Bambi in Bambi II (2006) and Jimmy Olsen in the animated film Superman: Unbound (2013). He also made a cameo appearance as a voice actor in the sequel Finding Dory (2016).

In addition to his voice work, Alex Gold had a prominent live-action role as Shane Botwin on the Showtime comedy-drama series Weeds, a part he played for eight seasons from 2005 to 2012. For his ensemble performance on the show, he received two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. After stepping away from acting to attend college around 2012, he later transitioned to a career behind the camera, becoming an acting agent in 2018.
