Piero Tiberi was an Italian actor and voice actor born in Rome on January 16, 1947. He began his career in entertainment as a child actor in 1955, appearing in the film Bravissimo. Over the course of his life, he worked not only as a performer but also as a dialogue writer and dubbing director.

Tiberi is best known to Italian audiences for his extensive work as a voice dubber, particularly in the field of anime and animation. One of his most significant and prolific roles was providing the Italian voice for the Namekian warrior Piccolo in the Dragon Ball franchise. He voiced this character in the Dynit Italian edition of numerous Dragon Ball Z films, including The Dead Zone, The World's Strongest, The Tree of Might, Lord Slug, Cooler's Revenge, The Return of Cooler, Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, Bojack Unbound, and Super Android 13.

Beyond Dragon Ball, Tiberi had several other major anime roles. He was the Italian voice of Tetsuya Tsurugi, the pilot of the super robot, in the series and films of Great Mazinger, including the 1975 crossover movie Great Mazinger tai Getter Robot. He also voiced Andro Umeda in the series Tekkaman: The Space Knight. His other animation credits include providing the voice of Principal Skinner in the first season of The Simpsons, Roscoe in Oliver & Company, and Sylvester the Cat in Daffy Duck's Quackbusters.

While he was a prolific voice actor for animated characters, Tiberi was also known for his live-action dubbing. He was the official Italian voice for actor Dan Aykroyd in films such as The Blues Brothers and its sequel, as well as for Joe Pesci in Raging Bull. He also dubbed actors including Charles Martin Smith and Cheech Marin in various films.

Tiberi passed away in his native Rome on October 25, 2013, at the age of 66, following a long illness. He was the father of actor and voice actor Alessandro Tiberi, who continued his legacy in the dubbing profession.
