Daikichi Hakata is primarily known as a Japanese comedian and a member of the comedic duo Hanamaru-Daikichi Hakata, but he has also worked as a voice actor in anime film. He is employed by the talent agency Yoshimoto Kogyo, and along with his comedy partner Hanamaru Hakata, he has been active in the entertainment industry since the formation of their duo in 1991. As the tsukkomi (straight man) of the group, he has appeared extensively on Japanese television and won The Manzai competition in 2014.

As a voice actor, Hakata is best known for his role in the long-running Detective Conan franchise. He voiced the character Fumikazu Haba in the twenty-second installment of the film series, Case Closed: Zero the Enforcer, which was released in Japan in April 2018. In the film, Haba is a deceased judicial intern and a former colleague of the lawyer Kyoko Tachibana, having previously worked with her at the same law firm. This role marks one of his few ventures into voice acting for anime, as his screen credits are largely dominated by his work as a television presenter and comedian. The film itself became a significant box office success, earning over seven billion yen in Japan and becoming the highest-grossing film in the Detective Conan franchise at the time of its release.
