Maurizio Mattioli is an Italian actor, comedian, and voice actor known for his extensive work in film, television, and dubbing. Born in Rome on June 3, 1950, his career in entertainment began in the 1970s with minor film roles, eventually leading to approximately one hundred movie appearances. He is widely recognized for his live-action comedic roles, particularly in Italian film series and television fiction such as I Cesaroni and Un ciclone in famiglia. Within the field of dubbing, Mattioli has lent his voice to numerous characters in animated series and films.

Among his notable voice roles in animated series, Mattioli is recognized for playing Ryu il gufo, the Owl, in the Italian-language dub of the science fiction anime series Gatchaman. He also provided the voice for the character Todd in the Italian dub of the animated series Sherlock Hound, known in Italian as Il fiuto di Sherlock Holmes. His other voice work in anime and western animation includes characters such as Mungo in Isidoro, Efesto in C'era una volta... Pollon, and the Grande Vecchio Rana Toro in Bear nella grande casa blu.

In the field of animated films, Mattioli has voiced characters in several notable productions. These roles include Barbatus in the Italian dub of the animated film Z la formica (Antz), Spartaco Sparapanzi in La gang del bosco (The Animals of Farthing Wood), and Jetro in Il principe d'Egitto (The Prince of Egypt).
