Cor Witschge was a Dutch actor and voice actor born on August 5, 1925, in Amsterdam, who passed away on March 13, 1991. His career spanned from 1958 to 1991, and he gained national fame for his live-action title role in the long-running Dutch television series Pipo de Clown. Beyond his on-screen work, Witschge was a prolific voice artist, lending his distinctive voice to numerous Dutch-dubbed versions of animated series and films, including several Japanese anime productions.
In the field of anime voice work, Witschge is best known for his roles in the Dutch dub of the classic science fiction series Gatchaman, which aired in the Netherlands under the title Strijd der Planeten or as part of Battle of the Planets. In this series, he provided the voice for two major characters: Chef Anderson, the leader of the science center, and Zoltar, the primary antagonist and leader of the terrorist organization Galaxy Express. He also voiced Jerome Barbarin in the Dutch version of the acclaimed anime series Nobody's Boy Remi, which tells the story of a young orphan boy traveling across France with a street performer. Another notable anime credit is his role as Colombo the clown in the Dutch version of Alfred Jodocus Kwak, a Dutch-Japanese co-produced animated series that aired from 1989 to 1991.
