Richard Armitage, born August 22, 1971, is an English actor whose career spans television, film, theatre, and voice work. After graduating from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), he performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company. His distinctive baritone voice has become a trademark of his work, and he has been active as a voice actor since 2006, initially recording audiobooks for the television series Robin Hood.

Armitage is widely recognized by anime and animation audiences for his role as Trevor Belmont in the Netflix animated series Castlevania, based on the popular video game franchise. He voiced the character across multiple seasons from 2017 to 2021. Trevor Belmont is portrayed as a disgraced and world-weary monster hunter, and Armitage's performance, including a northern English accent, was noted for bringing a deadpan and gritty authenticity to the role.
