Volker Wackermann is a German actor and voice actor born in 1970 in Lingen, Germany. He stands 195 cm tall, has a baritone vocal range, and is a native German speaker who also speaks English, French, and Italian.

Wackermann completed his primary professional acting training at the Filmschauspielschule Berlin from 2005 to 2007. He furthered his education with specialized workshops, including a 2016 course as a microphone and voice actor at the iSFF, a casting workshop in 2018, and ongoing coaching in presence and Chekhov technique from 2019 to 2022. He also holds a diploma in social work from the Hochschule Hannover.

As a voice actor, Wackermann has provided German dubbing voices for numerous characters in animated series and live-action productions. He is known for voicing the Bart Monk in the Netflix animated series Castlevania. His other anime and animation roles include Afufu in Black Clover, Ichirou Misaki in Captain Tsubasa, and Saisu Kamano in Naruto Shippuden. He also voices the character Sam in the animated series Invincible.

His voice work extends beyond animation into live-action dubbing for international television series. He has voiced characters in productions such as Damnation, Occupied, Game Shakers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Star Trek: Discovery, 9-1-1: Lone Star, The Glory, The Night Agent, and Doctor Who.

Alongside his voice acting career, Wackermann is an active stage and screen actor. He has appeared in numerous German television series, including Morden im Norden, SOKO Leipzig, Friesland, Der Usedom-Krimi, Der Staatsanwalt, and SOKO Wismar. On stage, he has performed in various theatrical productions, notably as a regular cast member at the Störtebeker Festspiele in Ralswiek, where he has appeared in productions such as Gotland unter Feuer, Hamburg 1401, and Freibeuter der Meere. His stage work also includes performances at the Oper Chemnitz, Theater der Altmark Stendal, and the Kleines Theater am Südwestkorso.
