Akron Watson is an American actor, singer, and voice artist known for his work across Broadway, television, film, and anime voice-over. He was born on May 17, 1983, and is a native of Dallas, Texas. His career includes significant achievements in theater, where he has appeared on Broadway three times, notably as a cast member in The Color Purple Revival, a production for which he won a Tony, Grammy, and Emmy. He has also performed in the Broadway productions of The Play That Goes Wrong and as Aaron Burr in Hamilton. His stage work extends to Off-Broadway and numerous regional theater productions across the United States.

In the field of anime voice acting, Watson is recognized for several key roles in English-language dubs, primarily associated with FUNimation Entertainment. He provides the voice for the character Satoshi Batista in the series Michiko & Hatchin. In the anime series Jormungand and its sequel Jormungand Perfect Order, he voices the character Wilee. He also appears in the One Piece franchise, voicing the role of Psycho P in the television special One Piece: Heart of Gold and providing additional voices for the main One Piece series.
