Memo Aponte

Description
Memo Aponte, whose full name is Guillermo Aponte Mille, is a Mexican voice actor, television host, and YouTuber known primarily for his extensive work in Spanish-language dubbing for animated films and television series. He was born in Mexico City on February 3, 1992.

Aponte began his voice acting career at a young age. His first role, which proved to be a major breakthrough, was providing the voice of the title character Nemo in the 2003 Disney Pixar film Finding Nemo when he was just 11 years old. This opportunity came unexpectedly after he auditioned against many other children, and his performance was well-received. This early success led to a long-standing relationship with Disney, where he found his "school" learning directly in recording studios from industry professionals.

Following his debut, Aponte became a prolific voice actor, lending his voice to a wide array of characters in animated features. Some of his most recognized film roles include Andy Davis in Toy Story 3, Dash Parr in The Incredibles, Hiro Hamada in Big Hero 6 and the subsequent Big Hero 6 The Series, Phineas Flynn in Phineas and Ferb, Simba as a cub in The Lion King 1 1/2, Tambor in Bambi II, and a young Koda in the trailer for Brother Bear. He also voiced the character Ezra Bridger, the protagonist of the animated series Star Wars Rebels, and Cody Martin in the live action series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spinoff The Suite Life on Deck. In addition to his character work, he has performed additional voices for several other films, including Coco and The Fox and the Hound 2.

Beyond voice acting, Aponte worked as a reporter and host for the program Disney Club on TV Azteca from 2014 until the show ended in 2016. In 2021, Aponte announced his retirement from professional dubbing. He explained that forcing his voice for many years without proper care had led to throat problems and a change in his vocal range, prompting the decision on medical advice. He has since focused on his self-titled YouTube channel, where he discusses his work with Disney, creates videos about films, and invites other artists and voice actors as guests. He has also stated that he has been undergoing therapy with the intention of possibly returning to voice acting in the future.
