Ken'ya Hatsumura

Ken'ya Hatsumura is a Japanese voice actor known for his baritone voice and work in animation, video games, and dubbing. He is affiliated with Tokyo Haikyu Life Cooperative, having previously been with the agency Crazy Box. Hatsumura is a graduate of the Japan Narration Acting Institute.

Hatsumura voiced the character Daniel in the 2017 theatrical animated film RedAsh -Magicicada-, a work within the same franchise as the series RedAsh -GEARWORLD-. His career includes numerous supporting roles across a wide range of anime series. In 2022, his television anime credits included a guest in Slow Loop, a student and a public bath guest in Ya Boy Kongming!, an employee in Parallel World Pharmacy, a member of an armed group in Lycoris Recoil, and a member of a crowd in The Little Ghost Girl at the Office Lady's Workplace. Earlier work includes roles in major long-running series, such as a guest in Tada Never Falls in Love (2018), a comic shop owner and a master in Doraemon (2019), a forensics investigator in Case Closed (2019), and an executive in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS (2021). His more recent anime work from 2024 includes playing a zombie in Train to the End of the World and a shop employee in Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!, as well as multiple roles in the series Brave Bang Bravern!. For web anime, he has performed as a news anchor in Gintama: The Semi-Final (2021) and as the older brother of a main character in Romantic Killer (2022).

In video games, his voice can be heard in titles such as Alteil Chronicle (2016), Monster Strike (as Zhang Liao and Serizawa Kamo), Line Heroes Ballad (his debut role), and Rise of the Ronin (2024). Hatsumura also performs dubbing for foreign media; he provided the Japanese voice for the character Dr. Facilier in Descendants 3 and for Richard in the Chinese animated series The Last Summoner (2023). In live-action Japanese productions, he has provided narration for Kamen Rider Shinobi and voiced the Kamen Rider Shinobi Belt in Kamen Rider.

Hatsumura has received international recognition for his voiceover work, winning a SOVAS Voice Arts Award in 2023. He was also the first Japanese male nominee in the Outstanding Voiceover (OVA) International Category.
