Kathrin Hanak is a German actress, musical performer, and voice actor known for her work in German-language dubbing of anime and live-action productions. She was born in Vienna, Austria, and completed her musical theater studies at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich.

Her professional career began on the stage, with performances at numerous theaters across Germany and Austria. These venues include the Prinzregententheater München, Deutsches Theater München, Theater Lübeck, Theater Hof, Theater Trier, the Salzburger Festspiele, and the Komödie im Bayerischen Hof München. Her stage roles have included Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Aschenputtel in Into the Woods, Hodel in Anatevka, and Joanne in Rent.

As a voice actor, Hanak has amassed a substantial body of work, with over seventy credited speaking roles in film and television. She is a prolific dubbing artist, providing the German voice for several prominent international actresses. She is the consistent German voice for actress Lily Collins, dubbing her in films such as Chroniken der Unterwelt - City of Bones, Love, Rosie - Für immer vielleicht, To the Bone, and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. She also dubs Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein in the Fantastic Beasts film series and has voiced actress Britt Robertson in Mother's Day - Liebe ist kein Kinderspiel.

Within the anime genre, Hanak is recognized for her leading role as the title character in the emotional fantasy film Maquia - When the Promised Flower Blooms, known in German as Maquia - Eine unsterbliche Liebesgeschichte. In this 2018 film, she voiced Maquia, a young girl from a long-lived race who raises an orphaned human boy. The German dubbing for this film was directed by Stephanie Kellner at Scalamedia GmbH in Munich. Other anime roles include the character 'Enishida' in the One Piece special One Piece 3D2Y: Überwinde Aces Tod! Das Gelübde der Kameraden.

Her additional voice work includes the role of the little water dragon Wokki in the German version of the animated film Der kleine Drache Kokosnuss 2 - Auf in den Dschungel! as well as roles in series such as Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka, and a recurring part in the series Leicht wie eine Feder. She also provides dubbing voices for numerous live-action television series, including The Good Doctor, Jane the Virgin, and See: Reich der Blinden.
