Danny Jacobs is an American actor, voice artist, singer, and comedian known for his extensive work in animation and video games. He made his voice acting debut in 1999 and has since become particularly recognized for taking over the role of King Julien in the Madagascar franchise, a character originally voiced by Sacha Baron Cohen. Jacobs began voicing King Julien in the television series The Penguins of Madagascar in 2008, a role he continued in multiple specials and the Netflix series All Hail King Julien. He also provided the singing voice for the character in the feature film Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted.

Jacobs has performed a wide range of voice roles across various animated series, often within the action and superhero genres. His credits include Rowdy Remington in Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil and multiple roles in DC Comics animated projects. He voiced Special Agent Porter in Justice League: Doom, Grifter and Captain Cold in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, and Baron Mordo in Ultimate Spider-Man vs. The Sinister 6. He also voiced the villain Victor Zsasz in the video games Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. In the Marvel animated series Avengers Assemble, he played Heinrich Zemo.

In the Transformers franchise, specifically the series Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Danny Jacobs provided the voice for the character Brother Gunter. Brother Gunter is a monk who lives in a secluded European monastery, known for his calm demeanor and his habit of using pretzel baking as a metaphor for teaching patience, particularly to the Dinobot Grimlock. His other animation credits include additional voices for Phineas and Ferb, the role of Snake Weed in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and George Washington in Teen Titans Go!.

For his performance as King Julien, Danny Jacobs received significant recognition. He won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for his work on The Penguins of Madagascar in 2011 and won the same award again in 2015 for All Hail King Julien. He was also nominated for an Annie Award for Voice Acting in a Television Production in 2010 for the special Merry Madagascar. Beyond acting, Jacobs has worked as a voice-over instructor and has been the producing artistic director for theaters in Detroit, Michigan.
