Kristy Wu is an American actress born on October 11, 1982, in Los Angeles, California. She began her on-screen career in the late 1990s with guest appearances on television series such as Moesha, Freaks and Geeks, and Arli$$ before landing a recurring role as Chao-Ahn in the seventh season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She also co-starred as Melissa Wu on the series Flight 29 Down from 2005 to 2006 and appeared in films including Return to Halloweentown, Cry Wolf, and End of Watch.

In the field of animated voice work, Wu is best known for her roles in two major animated series. She voiced P'Li, a powerful Combustionbender and a member of the Red Lotus, in the third season of The Legend of Korra, which aired in 2014. That same year, she began voicing the character Windblade, a female Autobot, in the animated series Transformers: Robots in Disguise, a role she carried through the show's first two seasons from 2015 to 2016. In addition to these starring roles, she provided incidental voices for the same series, including a Pilot, a news woman, and a character listed simply as Mother.
