Mao Bai is the original creator of the Chinese manhua Soul Buster, which served as the basis for a Japanese-Chinese anime co-production of the same name that aired in 2016. Soul Buster is an action-oriented story with supernatural elements, drawing inspiration from the classic 14th-century Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms by Luo Guanzhong.
