Kwangsu Lee

Description
Kwangsu Lee is a South Korean artist best known as the illustrator of the popular webtoon Noblesse. He collaborated with writer Son Je-ho on the series, which was serialized on the Naver Webtoon platform from December 2007 to January 2019 and accumulated billions of views worldwide. Lee was responsible for all visual elements of the manhwa, including character designs, dynamic action paneling, and the overall artistic evolution of the series over its 543 chapters. The distinctive art style of Noblesse has been noted for blending typical Korean and Japanese illustration techniques with influences from American comics such as those published by DC Comics and Marvel.

The success of Noblesse led to multiple animated adaptations. Lee is credited for the original net animation Noblesse: Awakening, released in 2016, which served as a precursor to a full anime television series produced by Production I.G that aired from October to December 2020. Prior to his work on Noblesse, Lee serialized a webtoon titled Soul, which dealt with themes of exorcism. Following the conclusion of Noblesse, he worked on The Great War as an illustrator.

Throughout his career, Lee has been recognized for his artistic contributions, and the physical volumes of Noblesse have been published in print by WEBTOON Unscrolled starting in 2023.
