Emi Sagara

Emi Sagara is a Japanese voice actress and dubbing artist from Fukushima Prefecture, born on August 25. Her professional name is also written in hiragana as さがらえみ. She was formerly affiliated with the talent agency Nine Production and is currently represented by Liberta.
Sagara began her career in the late 1990s. One of her earliest known anime roles was providing the voice for a system computer in the series DT Eightron, followed by a role as a disembodied voice in the experimental anime Serial Experiments Lain, both in 1998. In 2000, she had a guest role in the long-running series Inuyasha, playing one of the kemari players. However, she is best known for portraying Mikoto Uchiha, the mother of Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha, in the Naruto anime franchise. She first voiced Mikoto in the original Naruto series, and later reprised the role in Naruto Shippuden, including appearances within the story of Itachi Shinden. She is also recognized for her work as a dubber, providing the Japanese voice for foreign actors and characters in numerous imported television series and films. Her dubbing credits include roles in Californication, The Good Wife, Criminal Minds, and Saw VI, as well as the voice of Max in Batman Beyond. In 2012, she appeared in the theatrical film Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning, providing the voice for Mikey's mother. Outside of voice acting, Sagara holds certifications as a certified instructor of the Japan Reading Aloud Association and a color coordination certification.
