Gabriel Chavez is a Mexican voice actor known for a prolific career in dubbing for Latin American Spanish audiences. His work spans numerous animated series, films, and live-action dubs, with a career that began in the mid-1980s. Before entering the dubbing industry in 1986, Chavez worked as an on-camera actor in theater, television, and film, a background that he has cited as foundational to his voice work.

Among his notable roles in anime, Chavez provided the voice of Mr. Wily in the series MegaMan NT Warrior. He also voiced the character of Julián, the Latin American dub name for Daisuke Jigen, in the film Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. Additionally, his anime credits include the role of Denzou Yamada in the long-running series Nintama Rantarō. Other voice work in Japanese animation includes the masculine voice of Tsubasa Kurenai in the Cloverway dub of Ranma ½, Fein in Zatch Bell, and various roles in productions like Cazafantasmas Mikami and Ninja Kabuto.

While Chavez has performed in many anime titles, he is widely recognized for his extensive work in Western animation and live-action dubbing. His most famous role is providing the Latin American Spanish voice for Charles Montgomery Burns on The Simpsons, a character he voiced from the first through the fifteenth season and again from the thirty-second season onward. His other significant voice roles include Abuelo Phil in Hey Arnold!, Ed Cabeza Grande in Rocko's Modern Life, El Fumador (The Cigarette Smoking Man) in The X-Files, Anthony DeMartino in Daria, Buzz Buzzard in The New Woody Woodpecker Show, and Comandante Cobra in G.I. Joe. His film dubbing work has included roles such as Q in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

Throughout his career, Chavez has been recognized as a notable figure in the Latin American dubbing community, frequently appearing as a guest at fan conventions. In 2003, he was named best animator by the Mexican television network TV Azteca for his work on the hidden camera program Ya Cayó.
