Carolin Sophie Göbel, known professionally as Sophie Göbel, is a German actress and voice actor born in Koblenz in 1989. She completed her acting training at the Academy of Performing Arts in Rhineland-Palatinate by the age of twenty. Her career began on stage with engagements at several prominent theatres, including the Oper Frankfurt, the Grenzlandtheater Aachen, the Schlossparktheater Berlin, and the Brüder Grimm Festspiele in Hanau, where she performed in numerous productions over several years.

Göbel has built an extensive portfolio in voice acting, with credits including over 550 dubbing roles. She is particularly active in the German localization of anime. One of her notable roles in this genre is Mari Maya in the series Samurai Flamenco. She is also well-known as the German voice of Aiz Wallenstein across multiple installments of the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? franchise, including the main series, the film Arrow of the Orion, and the spin-off Sword Oratoria. Other prominent anime roles include Rio Nakamura in Assassination Classroom and Koro Sensei Quest!, Kumi Hon'amanuma in Laidbackers, Celica Arfonia in Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor, Hikari Hazakura in Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?, and Minko Tsurugi in Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow.

Beyond anime, Göbel's voice work includes dubbing for international productions such as playing the young Queen Charlotte in the Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. She is also a regular narrator for the Augsburger Puppenkiste, 3sat, and ZDF, and has recorded numerous audiobooks. In recognition of her work as a narrator, she was awarded the Audible Newcomer Audiobook Narrator Prize in 2016. In addition to her voice work, she has contributed creatively to theatre, co-writing the comedy 2 Zimmer, Küche...Bombe with colleague Patrick Dollmann, which premiered in Munich in 2019.
