Description
Sayaka Sasaki is a Japanese musician, singer, songwriter, and voice actress born June 19, 1982. She began her entertainment career after winning the All-Japan Anison Grand Prix singing contest in 2009, a competition that launched her into the world of anime music. Following this victory, she signed with the label Lantis and released her debut single Seisai no Ripieno in January 2010, which served as the second opening theme for the anime series The Book of Bantorra.

While Sasaki is primarily known as a singer who has performed theme songs for numerous anime including Nichijou, Bakuon!!, Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash!, and So, I Can't Play H!, she has also taken on select voice acting roles. Her most notable voice role is Inari in the anime series Garo: Crimson Moon. For this production, she not only performed the ending theme song Kamon but also formed the musical unit Sayaka Sasaki with Inaribayashi alongside Mayu Udono and Eriko Sato. The three singers collectively voiced the three Inari spirits, Watchdog characters in the series, marking Sasaki's first voice-acting role. Her character, Inari, is a priest who wears a white fox mask and has an old-fashioned tone of speech. Sasaki later reprised her involvement with the Garo franchise by appearing in GARO - Fang of God-.

Sasaki has extended her performance career beyond Japan, making appearances at anime conventions in North America, South America, Asia, and the Middle East. In addition to her performance work, she is actively involved in music production, having written her own lyrics since her debut and more recently adding music composition to her creative skills. Her other notable theme song performances include Break your world for Senran Kagura, ID-0 for the anime ID-0, Grand Symphony for Girls und Panzer das Finale, Twinkle Starlight for Planetarian, and Zzz, which was used as the first ending theme for Nichijou. Through her work with Lantis, she has released multiple singles and albums, establishing herself as a consistent presence in the anime music industry while occasionally crossing over into voice acting for select projects.
